Two Armenian servicemen killed

Baku, Azerbaijan, March 2 By Ilkin Izzet – Trend: Two Armenian servicemen were killed by the Azerbaijani military on the frontline in Nagorno-Karabakh on February 28, the Armenian media reported March 2. Trend presents the video which shows the operation carried out against the enemy. The video shows that as a result of the fire opened by the Azerbaijani armed forces, two Armenian servicemen were killed. According to the Armenian media, two Armenian servicemen – 20-year-old Ayk Baroyan and 36-year-old Artak Agepyan were killed on the frontline. The conflict between the two South Caucasus countries began in 1988 when Armenia made territorial claims against Azerbaijan. As a result of the ensuing war, in 1992 Armenian armed forces occupied 20 percent of Azerbaijan, including the Nagorno-Karabakh region and seven surrounding districts. The two countries signed a ceasefire agreement in 1994. The co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group, Russia, France and the US are currently holding peace negotiations. Armenia has not yet implemented four UN Security Council resolutions on the liberation of the Nagorno-Karabakh and the surrounding regions. Trend presents the video for the readers.
