UAE denounces blast at Jordan's military post

ABU DHABI, 22nd June, 2016 (WAM) – The UAE has strongly condemned the blast at the military post, dedicated for serving and helping the Syrian refugees, on the north-eastern border of Jordan, killing six soldiers and wounding 14 personnel of the Jordanian armed forces and security agencies. In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation said, "As it denounces this criminal and cowardly act that targeted a number of personnel of the Jordanian Armed Forces, it confirms its solidarity and backing of the UAE leadership, government and people to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in all measures it takes to protect its borders, maintains security, stability and its territorial integrity." The UAE reiterated the need for concerted international efforts to tackle violence and terrorism in all its forms and whatever its source, and those who stand behind it.
