UB Mayor visits North Korea

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Mayor of Ulaanbaatar city Mr E.Bat-Uul paid an official visit to Pyongyang city of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea on November 19-24. The Mayor held meetings with Mr Kim Yong-nam, the President of the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly; and Cha Hy Rim, the Chairman of the People’s Congress of Pyongyang, to exchange views on developing great constructions and on cooperation in ecology and tourism. To learn experiences, Mr Bat-Uul visited Pyongyang city’s sewage plant, tree-nursery site, the “Munsu” water park, the “Mirim” horse-race arena, the Center of Science and Technology, Wonsan city-based tourism area and a ski camp. The visiting group included T.Bat-Erdene, a Vice Mayor of Ulaanbaatar in charge of ecology and green development affairs; S.Ganbaatar, a non-staff advisor to the Mayor on road, transportation and infrastructure matters; and other officials.
