Ufa declaration will be adopted and package of documents signed after SCO summit - Putin

UFA, July 10. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin has confirmed Friday that Ufa declaration will be adopted after today’s SCO (Shanghai Cooperation Organization) summit and a package of documents will be signed. "A package of important documents has been prepared for the council of countries’ leaders. It will first of all be the Ufa declaration that reflects our common vision and consolidated assessments of the situation in the region and in the world in general, results of the Russian presidency and guidelines for the Organization’s future work," Putin said. "SCO Development Strategy until 2025 will be submitted for adoption, it defines concrete cooperation goals for the next decade," he added. "We will also sign new agreements on border control issues and program on cooperation in fighting against terrorism and drug threat," Putin noted. When opening the SCO summit in the broad format, the Russian leader noted that among participants are observers, guests and representatives of international organizations. Putin reminded that the Ufa summit concludes Russia’s presidency in SCO "which was aimed at developing cooperation in all spheres, strengthening potential in all directions of our activities, strengthening the potential and authority of our Organization."
