UK Prime Minister to visit Vietnam

Hanoi, July 29 (VNA) - UK Prime Minister David Cameron will lead a high-ranking delegation on a two-day official visit to Vietnam from July 29-30. The visit is made at the invitation of his Vietnamese counterpart, Nguyen Tan Dung, aiming to discuss measures and directions in order to deepen the strategic partnership between Vietnam and the UK. Particularly, the two sides will bring into play their strengths and potentials for bilateral cooperation in investment, advanced science and technology, banking-finance, education-training and defence. They will also look into ways to foster mutual support at international forums and organisations. Vietnam and the UK will celebrate five years of their strategic partnership this year. Since the establishment of the bilateral strategic partnership in 2010, their relations have reaped positive outcomes in all realms via annual dialogues to increase mutual understanding and trust.
