UN chief invited to Majlis Human Rights Committee meeting

TEHRAN,Aug.26(MNA) - The Human Rights Committee of the Iranian Majlis invited United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon to attend a committee meeting during his stay in Tehran. “We request that Ban Ki-moon answer certain questions of representatives in the Iranian parliament during a joint meeting with the Majlis Human Rights Committee,” Hadi Shoushtari, the committee chairman, told on Saturday. Ban is scheduled to participate in the 16th Heads of State Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement, which will be held in the Iranian capital on Thursday and Friday. The NAM summit opened today and will be brought to a close on Friday.
