UN Special Envoy Should Disseminate Truth On Iran : Official

Tehran, March 13, IRNA - Head of Iran's High Council for Human Rights Mohammad Javad Larijani said the UN special envoy has to disseminate true reports on the achievements and progress of the Iranian nation. Addressing a session of the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva, Larijani said the reports on Iran should not follow the US and western policies. Criticizing the UN report on the human rights situation in Iran, Larijani said such hostile policies are adopted by the US, the Zionist regime and certain European countries against the Islamic Iran. The Islamic Republic of Iran has been able to present a democratic model based on religious logic for the regional nations, said the Iranian official. Iran is an advocate of human rights and tries to promote human rights status throughout the globe, Larijani reiterated./end
