UN Spokesman: Ban Ki-Moon’s Deputy To Visit Tehran

New York, Oct 28, IRNA – Deputy UN Secretary General Jan Kenneth Eliasson will participate in International UN Day commemoration, cosponsored by Iranian Foreign Ministry and UN officials in Iran on Tuesday. UN Spokesman Stephane Dujarric announced the news here Monday in a press conference, adding that Mr. Eliasson will during the visit also have meetings with a number of Iranian officials. Dujarric said that Eliasson will have a three-day visit of Tehran, but he did not offer any further details about the possible axes of his meetings with Iranian officials. The UN spokesman added that the deputy UN secretary general before arriving in Tehran will have a one day stay in Iraq for talks with Iraqi officials./end
