Unrest, Conflict Will Not Serve Egypt : VP

Tehran, July 3, IRNA -- Iranian Vice-President for Parliamentary Affairs Mohammad Reza Mir-Tajeddini said on Tuesday that unrest and conflict will not serve the Egyptian nation. Mir-Tajeddini told reporters that the people must respect outcome of democratic election held only one year ago and that it is not acceptable Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi is facing mass rallies. He called on Egyptian political figures to sit together and try to reach an understanding, because the current situation harms the Muslim World. Elsewhere in his remarks, he criticized the Egyptian government for hasty stand it adopted about internal affairs of Syria which accounted for intervention in the Syrian affairs. He said that Egyptian people expected their government to solve the problems and clear the country of remainders of former dictatorial regime of Hosni Mubarak./end
