Uprisings In Arab Countries Inspired By Iranian Revolution: Taqi Raza

New Delhi, Feb 12, IRNA – The recent uprisings witnessed in many countries were inspired by the Islamic Revolution of Iran, led by Imam Khomeini in 1979, said an Indian Shia religious scholar in Hyderabad, capital city of the South Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. Addressing a day-long seminar, held on the occasion of the 35th triumph anniversary of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, Moulana Syed Taqi Raza Abedi, President of Tanzeem-e-Jafferi (Regd), said: “The Revolution took place in Iran was not the result of economical backwardness instead it was the result of Islamic Awakenings”. He asserted that the revolution which was led by Imam Khomeini (RA), leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, was the inspiration for all revolutions taking place today in many Arab countries like Yemen, Bahrain, Egypt. The seminar was organized by the Tanzeem-e-Jafferi (Regd.) at the office of the Majlis-e-Ulama-e-Hind, Hyderabad branch. Speaking on the occasion, Hassan Noorian, Consulate General of Islamic Republic of Iran at Hyderabad noted: ˈThe Revolution of Iran was the result of Revolution of Ashura.ˈ Beside Noorian, many intellectuals expressed their solidarity with the revolution. Jaffer Hussain, Chief Editor of “Sada-e-Hussaini” Urdu Daily presented a brief look on the awakening in Arab Countries specially the conditions of Syria. While Moulana Syed Saber Hussaini, Imam-e-Juma of Masjid-e-Meerpet highlighted the events had taken place in Iran during the Revolution. The historic Iranian Revolution, commonly known as Islamic Revolution of Iran uprooted 2500-year-old monarchy of Pahlavi regime and on the 11th February 1979 the Islamic government was established./end
