US AMBASSADOR TO RETURN HOME

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On August 5, Chairman of the State Great Khural Z.Enkhbold received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the USA to Mongolia Ms Piper Anne Campbell in regard to her return home. Ms Campbell said that she has been putting all efforts in strengthening the two countries; relations and to develop cooperation in multiple sectors, She expressed gratitude for the support she received in the past years. Speaker Z.Enkhbold stressed that the USA is an important “third neighbor” for Mongolia and mentioned that several milestones have happened for the relations of the two countries in the past three years. He underlined that such visits have been held during Campbell’s office as of the Speaker to the USA in 2013, of the PM Ch.Saikhanbileg and FM L.Purevsuren – in 2015, and the visits of the US Senator McCain and Sheldon and of the first deputy of the US Secretary of State J.Burns in 2013, and of the US Secretary of Defense C.Hagel in 2014 to Mongolia. The Speaker said he was grateful for the US initiative to restore the regular meetings of the General Agreement on Trade and Investment that have been discontinued since 2008, and for organizing the first consultative meeting of the Mongolia-US economic policy. Expressing gratitude to the USA for consistently supporting Mongolia during our presidency at the Community of Democracies in 2013 and at the Freedom Online Coalition in 2015, he noted that Ambassador Campbell has played an important role in making all above possible. The Speaker wished Ms Piper Anne Campbell the best of success in her further works.
