US analyst urges President Obama to show courage

New York, Nov 22, IRNA – An American analyst suggested US President Barack Obama to show courage and make his decision about Iran's nuclear issue before the Congress ends its work, January 3, 2015. George Saliba, Professor of Arabic and Islamic Science at the Department of Middle Eastern, South Asian, and African Studies, Columbia University, New York, told IRNA that President Obama has wasted much times regarding Iran's nuclear issue. His fear along with political considerations have prevented Obama, so far, from taking a serious step towards resolving the decades-long nuclear dispute with Iran, said the professor. He stressed that as soon as the new Republican-controlled Congress starts work in 2015, the US president will practically have no chance to act freely due to the pressures of the lawmakers opposing his policies. History will remember those who have needed courage to overcome problems, Saliba stressed./end
