US-Britain Aim To Exclude Palestine From Agenda Of Muslim World: IRNA Chief

Tehran, Aug 15, IRNA – Presidential Advisor for Press Affairs Ali Akbar Javanfekr said on Tuesday that US, Britain and their allies are trying to exclude the issue of Palestine from the agenda of the Muslim nations. Talking to IRNA on the eve of International Qods Day, Javanfekr said that the day is an opportunity for restoration of the Palestinians’ rights and destruction of the Zionist regime. Javanfekr, who is also the managing director of the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), further noted that the issue of Palestine will never be forgotten by Muslim nations and that they will liberate Palestinian territories by pursuing the cause of Palestine seriously. Stating that the Zionist regime is breathing its last, Javanfekr pointed out that the Zionist regime is facing serious challenges within itself and it is regularly retreating. Through the resistance of Hamas and the Palestinians, the Zionist regime will experience a bitter defeat because this is the divine promise that will be materialized. Javanfekr called on all Iranians to actively participate in the rallies marking World Qods Day. The father of the Islamic Revolution, late Imam Khomeini designated the last Friday of the fasting month of Ramadan as Qods Day which is observed across the world every year. As to the developments in Syria, he added that the country is part of the resistance to the occupying Zionist regime and the current situation in Syria stems from its support for the Palestinian nation./end
