US Embassy Boosts Security In Pakistan

Islamabad, Sept 15, IRNA -- Following protests announced by religious and students organizations in Pakistan Friday against anti-Islamic film and killing of Washington’s envoy to Libya during a mob attack, security was tightened around US missions in Pakistan Friday. “We have beefed up the security for the possible threats to the US embassy,” Khurram Rasheed, a senior police official responsible for diplomats’ security in Islamabad. “We expect some protests against the embassy tomorrow and we are preparing to handle that.” its pertaining to mention here that the Majlis-e-Wehdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) has announced to stage protest rally on Friday outside the US Embassy in Islamabad to condemn the US and Israeli conspiracies against Islam and Prophet Mohammed (P). In Lahore, police said they had issued an alert to protect the US consulate. “The security is already tight but we have issued an alert to be careful for any urgent situation,” Abdul Ghaffar Qaisrani, senior police official responsible for security. Meanwhile countrywide protests were being held in Pakistan against United States insulting movie. The leading religio-Political parties of the country held the countrywide demonstration across the country against the insulting movie made by the America to hurt the sentiments of Muslims. Majlis-e-Wehdat-e-Muslimeen(MWM), Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan (JIP), Imamia Students Organization (ISO), Muttahida Taliba Mahaz (Alliance of Students Organizations), Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD), Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) and other religious outfits observed the protest against the United States sacrilegious movie against Holy Prophet Mohammad (P). The protest demonstrations have been observed at all over the Pakistan including the big cities of the country to condemn the American and Zionist conspiracies against Islam and prophet Mohammad (P). Central Anti-United States rally was organized by Majls-e-Wehdat Muslimeen in Islamabad. They demanded the government to immediately expel the US Ambassador from Pakistan and cut the diplomatic ties with United states forthwith./end
