US Embassy greets on 28th anniversary of U.S.-Mongolia diplomatic relations

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The year 2015 marks the 28th anniversary of the U.S.-Mongolian diplomatic relations. It was on January 27 of 1987 when the United States of America and Mongolia officially established such ties between them by signing the documents. The signatories--the U.S. Secretary of State George Shultz and Mongolia's Ambassador to the United Nations G.Nyamdoo--inked it in the Treaty Room at the United States' Department of State. In 2012, the U.S. Embassy in Ulaanbaatar marked the 25th anniversary of the event both on the day it occurred and with a series of events throughout 2012.
