U.S. envoy to Afghanistan, Pakistan due to Turkey

WASHINGTON (A.A) - January 12, 2012 - U.S. special representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan will travel to Turkey, the Department of State said on Thursday. A State Department statement said that Ambassador Marc Grossman would travel to Turkey, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and Qatar between January 15 and 27.  The statement said Grossman was travelling to Afghanistan and the region in support of the process of Afghan-led reconciliation, as part of U.S. larger strategy to support a peaceful, stable, increasingly prosperous and democratic Afghanistan.
