US Expert: Geneva Deal, A Tremor In Mideast

New York, Nov 27, IRNA – Former US ambassador to NATO Robert Hunter said the nuclear agreement reached between Iran and the 5+1 was like an earthquake targeting the power structures in the Middle East. Talking to IRNA on Wednesday, he said the agreement put an end to the ongoing cold war between many western countries and Iran. Referring to the difficult route of creating confidence between Iran and some western countries and said the agreement is the first step towards bringing about basic changes. Saying that the US government is not happy with the Saudi policies in Syria and its support for the extremist groups there, the former diplomat noted that the US has to make it clear to Saudi Arabia that it has to take serious measures to control radical groups. He further believed that the parties of the agreement have to be vigilant during the coming six months not to let those who are against the deal to influence it./end
