US Expert: Obama Wishing To Live On In History By Making Agreements With Iran

New York, Oct 27, IRNA – US university scholar and senior nuclear expert Jim Walsh said the US President Barack Obama is seeking to make a name in the history by settling Iran’s nuclear issue. To achieve this goal, he told IRNA in an exclusive interview, President Obama is following practical steps to find out a win-win solution to the nuclear issue with Iran. He said the reference made by President Obama to the historical Fitwa by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution on banning production and use of nuclear arms was a “polite message” to the Iranian officials aimed at paving the way for holding dialogue between Iran and the US to settle differences. He termed as natural some radical remarks by extremists both in Iran and the US against bilateral talks which he believed have only domestic significance. He believed President Obama’s remarks on the Supreme Leaders Fatwa was to prove that he was taking seriously what was uttered by the Iranian authorities.
