US Fails To Develop Consensus On Action Against Syria: MP

Islamabad, Sept 16, IRNA – A Pakistani Member of Parliament (MP) on Sunday ruled out any possibility of US strike on Syria adding that the Americans have failed to evolve consensus on such insane action. Talking to IRNA Chairman of Qaumi Watan Party, Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao said that the US aggressive designs on Syria have increased hatred in Muslim world against American administration. “Any attack on Syria would further complicate the situation in the Arab state,” added the lawmaker. The member of National Assembly said that there is absolutely no justification for such an attack on Syria. He condemned in strongest words the possible American strike on Syria. The political leader went on to say that people of Muslim countries are fed up with the American aggression against Muslims. “US has filed to convince the world on action against Syria,” the politician noted. Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao expressing his views said that Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and G20 have played an important role in stopping US from carrying out military strike on Syria. He said that US must quit aggressive policies and stop creating conflicts in the world. “Americans must realize that their aggressive policies have already placed the whole world in a dangerous situation,” he said. The politician was of the opinion that dialog is the only way to restore peace to Syria. He added that Syria is an independent state and should be allowed to solve its problems without any foreign intervention. The parliamentarian also praised the role of Iran on Syria. “Iran has always stressed the need for dialogue to resolve crisis in Syria,” he said. Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao viewed that that United Nations (UN) is the proper forum to resolve issues. “War is not the solution to any issue,” he pointed out./end
