US, Obstacle To Afghanistan Peace – Afghan Analyst

Kabul, Jan 8, IRNA – A retired Afghan general on Wednesday said the US is an obstacle to bringing about peace to Afghanistan. Atiqullah Amarkhel told IRNA that Afghanistan will not experience peace unless the US interests are not materialized in this country. The US spares no effort to maintain its interest in other countries including Afghanistan. The Afghan military analyst further criticized the double-standard policy adopted by the US and Pakistan regarding Afghan peace. Afghan President Hamid Karzai has referred to Washington as a major element of creating insecurity in Afghanistan, he added.
