Pyongyang, April 30 (KCNA) -- The U.S. imperialists and the south Korean warmongers would be well advised to pay heed to the unanimous views of the public at home and abroad that the Korean peninsula has turned into a zone where the U.S. military edge and structure of the big powers' nuclear monopoly have been shattered to pieces and the balance of force is ensured. Aggressors wielding a nuclear stick should be countered with nuclear weapons only, it notes, and goes on: The DPRK chose to have access to nuclear weapons in order to put an end to the brigandish and arbitrary practices of the U.S. imperialists to stifle it with nukes and firmly protect the sovereignty, dignity and safety of the nation. Its military counteraction would be escalated till the U.S. imperialists and the puppet forces halt their provocations against the DPRK. The powerful revolutionary Paektusan army is fully ready to mercilessly annihilate the U.S. imperialist aggressor forces and the puppet army, the worst provocateurs, any time through preemptive attacks with all striking means deployed to go into action.
