US Plots To Isolate Iran Have Failed : Pakistani Analyst

Islamabad, Aug 26, IRNA -- Pakistani former diplomat on Saturday said that Iran’s hosting of Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) meeting has shown that the US conspiracies to isolate Islamic Republic have been failed. Rustam Shah Mohmand Former Pakistani Ambassador to Afghanistan talking to IRNA said that NAM summit is a great set back to US and Zionist regime. The analyst expressing his views said that this conference is highly significant for Iran and participation of the Egyptian President in the meeting is an important development. He added that Non-Aligned Movement can play active role on major international developments. Former diplomat was of the opinion that the conference would provide a platform to counter the policies of imperialists. Rustam Shah Mohmand, however, stressed the need to make NAM more effective adding that Iran could play a very important role in this regards. He said that NAM should also discuss the possible US navy deployments in Pacific Ocean. “US is trying to encircle China and all those countries which are not yielding to their pressure,” said the analyst. Rustam Shah Mohmand said that US is also hatching conspiracies against Islamic Republic of Iran. “In my view Iran’s hosting of Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) meeting has shown that the US conspiracies to isolate Islamic Republic have been failed,” said the analyst. He said that it is good to see that about 120 states from South America, Middle East, South Asia and Africa are participating in the conference. The 16th NAM Summit meeting is planned for August 26-31. Rustam Shah Mohmand added that the NAM summit would give boost to the confidence of Iranian people and government. He went on to say that the participation of leaders from different states in such a large number has shown that the world is with Iran despite American propaganda. “NAM summit is a great set back to US and Zionist regime,” said the senior analyst. Rustam Shah Mohmand is specialist of Afghanistan and Central Asian affairs and a renowned security analyst. He has served as ambassador to Afghanistan and chief secretary of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province./end
