USA, Azerbaijan to contribute to energy security

Baku, September 20 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijani Minister of Industry and Energy Natig Aliyev has received new U.S. ambassador to Azerbaijan Richard Morningstar on Thursday. During the meeting the sides discussed the prospects of cooperation in the energy sphere between Azerbaijan and the U.S, as well as energy security. Previously, Morningstar was a special representative of the U.S. Department of State for Eurasian Energy. Aliyev said that Morningstar's experience will open new prospects for cooperation between the parties. The sides also discussed Azerbaijan's role in the energy security of the region, the projects of Trans-Anatolian and Trans-Caspian gas pipelines.
