Veep Calls Daesh Crimes Unprecedented

Santa Cruz, June 16, IRNA - Iranian First Vice President Eshaq Jahangiri Sunday termed as unprecedented the terrorist activities of the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) group known as Daesh. He made the remarks in a meeting with the Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe on the sidelines of a meeting of Group of 77 developing countries plus China. The criminal acts of extremist and terrorist groups against civilians in Iraq and Syria are unprecedented, Jahangiri added. He called for the increase of collaboration in the international community to prevent spread of extremism, terrorism. Tehran is ready to enhance all-out ties with African countries particularity in the field of economy, Jahangiri noted. He underlined that the Iranian nation has learned well how to counter sanctions and has made big achievements despite pressures. Lauding the Zimbabwean governmentˈs support for Tehran in the international community, Jahangiri called Harareˈs stance on Syria crisis as constructive. Iran as a Non Aliened Movement (NAM) member states support Group of 77 developing countries programs, he asserted. Jahangiri said that G77 plus China should remain united against oppressive powers Mugabe for his part welcomed the development of ties with Tehran. Referring to the sanctions imposed on Harare, he called peopleˈs support for the Zimbabwean government against outside pressures as helpful. Jahangir left Tehran for Bolivia on Friday morning to attend the summit of the Group of 77 developing countries plus China. The 50th summit of the Group of 77 started work on June 14 in Santa Cruz./end
