Venezuela fully supports Russia’s stand on Ukraine - Foreign Minister

MOSCOW, May 27. /TASS/. Venezuela fully supports Russia's stance on Ukraine on the international scene, Venezuela’s top diplomat Delcy Rodriguez said on Wednesday following talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. "We are the two countries that observe the fundamental principles of the UN Charter, specifically, non-interference in the affairs of independent sovereign states," she noted. "I’m sure that we think alike and see eye to eye on what is happening on the international scene today." "Just as Soviet people gave their lives to defeat Nazism, Russia is currently struggling to provide a new geopolitical structure of the world, which will be able to limit the hegemony and territorial claims of the center of imperialism," Rodriguez said. "In addition to that, we strongly reject the sanctions policy with regard to our countries. We also intend to counter the coups." "When we watched the developments in Ukraine last year, we saw the resurgence of Nazism," Rodriguez said.
