Venezuelan Reporter Highly Satisfied With Tehran Press Fair

Tehran, Nov 1, IRNA – A Venezuelan journalist said on Wednesday that the 19th International Exhibition of Press and News Agencies had provided him with an opportunity to know about Iranian media. Speaking to IRNA on the sidelines of the exhibition, Leonardo Buitrago, from Venezuelan News Agency, said during the exhibition he had been able to have face-to-face contact with his Iranian colleagues and the visitors. He said the expo had provided a venue for exchange of information and experience. He added that he had also found Iranian visitors very curious about Venezuela. The journalist said the Iran-Venezuela cultural relations should keep pace with the economic and political relations which are already at a high level. On the western sanctions against Iran, he said they are unfair for targeting people. "We totally disagree with them." The exhibition is hosting some 2,380 Persian dailies, magazines and periodicals while about 50 pavilions have been dedicated to international section. The exhibition also includes a temporary museum displaying history of Iranian journalism on the sidelines of the event.
