Vietnamese Communist Party leader, Russian leadership to discuss strategic partnership

HANOI, November 20. /TASS/. Vietnamese Communist Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong will discuss measures to build up strategic partnership between his country and Russia with the Russian leadership during a visit to Moscow beginning in three days’ time. “My official visit to Russia will take place against a backdrop of successful development of Vietnamese-Russian relations of comprehensive strategic partnership,” Nguyen told TASS in an exclusive interview on the eve of his visit to Russia due on November 23. “At negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin and other Russian officials we shall look back on progress achieved in bilateral relations, including the implementation of agreements achieved at the summit level and major bilateral projects.” Specific measures will be discussed to be taken to enhance Vietnamese-Russian partnership along all tracks of cooperation - from politics to the trading and economic sphere, investment, energy, oil and gas production, nuclear power, defence and security.
