Volunteer Police Born To Help Iranian Police Force

Tehran, Oct 6, IRNA – A senior Police officer announced on Monday that the "Volunteer Police" squad is born to cooperate with the Iranian Police on preventing social crimes. Taqi Mehri told reporters here on the sidelines of a local gathering that the Volunteer Police will help the country's official law enforcement body to enhance social security. Describing the new body as "Public Police," Mehri said the Police Department is missioned to train troops of the newly-born police force. Volunteer Police will work in close coordination with the local police, the officer added. He added that social security is a top priority that needs to be taken with serious consideration by all./end
