VP: Iran-Algeria Ties, Strategic, Permanent

Algiers, June 6, IRNA – Vice-President in Execution of Constitution Mohammad Reza Mirtajeddini upon his arrival at the airport here on Tuesday called Iran-Algeria relations strategic and permanent. He told reporters at the airport that the two countries have many commonalities in the fields of culture, economy and politics and Iran wants to expand ties with Algeria. Mirtajeddinin said the main goal of his visit to Algeria is to submit President Ahmadinejad's invitation letter to President Abdelaziz Bouteflika to attend Non-Aligned Movement Summit in Tehran in September. During his 4-day stay in Algeria, Mirtajeddini will meet with Foreign Minister Mourad Medelci and Speaker of Algerian Senate Abdelkader bin Salah.He will also visit a number of historical, cultural and religious centers./end
