VP: NAM Meet In Tehran Indicates Iran's Authority

Tehran, Aug 26, IRNA – Vice-President in international affairs and chief organizer of the 16th NAM summit meeting in Tehran said holding the meeting here is a turning point to promote position of the movement. He also said the meeting undoubtedly shows Iran's authority and constructive interaction with different countries. Ali Saeedlo made the remarks in a meeting with reporters here on Saturday evening. He said that a desirable and successful meeting will be a blow to lies of hegemonic world which talk about isolation of Iran. The VP said that participation of 145 foreign delegations indicated Iran's good and constructive interaction with world community, adding that holding such a meeting shows Iranian ability and good management in holding important regional and international gatherings. He referred to the motto of Tehran meeting as 'sustainable peace under auspices of the world joint management' and said that the motto is words of heart of all freedom lovers, independence seekers and fighters against hegemonic powers. Saeedlo continued that on the sideline of the meeting an exhibition will be put on in the fields of medicine, aerospace, nuclear, nano and defense abilities. In another part of his talk, Saeedlo predicted that more than 2 thousand foreign and domestic reporters and media persons will cover the event. IRNA Managing Director Ali Akbar Javanfekr also explained programs of IRNA news headquarter to cover the whole event. He added that IRNA and its affiliated bodies have started their work on dissemination of news about the meeting since months ago./end
