VP: Persian Gulf Refinery makes country needless to imports

Bandar Abbas, Jan 26, IRNA – First Vice-President said on Monday that by commissioning the Persian Gulf Refinery Iran will no longer import oil products. Es-haq Jahangiri made the remarks after inaugurating 72 health and sanitation projects in southern province of Hormuzgan. He said that the development projects will create more than 8,000 jobs. He estimated the investment in the projects at euro 3.8 billion. Jahangiri said that fuel for the projects will be provided by more than 60,000 bpd gas condensates to produce 36 million liters petrol and 15 million liters gasoline and jet fuel. By commissioning the refinery, the country will not need oil products imports, the VP said. He added that the refinery will consume gas condensates from South Pars phases.
