West Fails To Obtain Required Results Of Iran Sanctions: Former Politician

Islamabad, June 30, IRNA – Veteran lawyer and former Pakistani politician on Friday said that West has failed to obtain the required results of Iran sanctions. Talking to IRNA, Ahmed Raza Khan Kasuri said that Iran is pursuing the policy of self-reliance and sanctions cannot stop development in Iran. He was of the view that sanction is a tool to put pressure on countries, but effect of sanctions varies from country to country. “Iran is a strong nation and cannot be pressurized by imposing sanctions,” noted the legal expert. He said that the West has failed to witness required results of sanctions on Iran. Ahmed Raza Khan Kasuri said that Iran because of its strong leadership is progressing in every field. “Iran is an excellent example for the Muslim world”, he said. He said that the President of Iran always goes into the public when there is any statement comes from West. “President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad draws power from public,” added the veteran lawyer. “The sanctions cannot shatter confidence of Iranian public,” he said confidently. The legal expert said the whole Iranian nation is united and determined to acquire nuclear technology for peaceful purposes. “If any other country in the world can attain nuclear status, then why can’t Iran attain that status?” asked Ahmed Raza Khan Kasuri. He said it is very encouraging to see that Iran is progressing in all fields. “One day Iran will achieve their targets,” he strongly believed. Ahmed Raza Khan Kasuri expressing his views said Iran is an oil rich country and sanctions cannot affect Iran’s progress. Former politician said Iran is following the policy of self-reliance. “When you start relying on your own resources, it gives you tremendous confidence,” said the veteran lawyer. He said that revolution is not a local phenomenon, adding that the off-shoots of revolution can be felt in the whole region. Mr. Kasuri viewed what happened at Tahrir Square in Egypt is the off-shoot of the Islamic Revolution of Iran./end
