West Seeking To Attack Syria Under Chemical Weapons Excuse : MP

Maragheh, East Azarbaijan Prov, Aug 25, IRNA – An Iranian lawmaker Sunday said that the US and western states were seeking to attack Syria under the pretext of the use of chemical weapons in that country. Member of Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Mehdi Davatgari made the remarks in this northwestern city while he was criticizing latest threats of western states against Syria. The US and its allies are the main cause of such threats against other countries, including Syria, the MP told IRNA. He added, the excuse of using chemical weapons in Syria is similar to what had happened in Iraq in 2003 when US decided to atttack that country during the term of former president George W. Bush. The world have realized now that using chemical weapons is the option of western states, said the lawmaker./end
