West Urged To Change Discriminatory Approach Toward Iran

Islamabad, Oct 27, IRNA – A senior Pakistani journalist on Saturday said that western countries must change their discriminatory approach towards Iran to make the nuclear talks successful. Talking to IRNA, Muhammad Khalid Jamil director of a research institute of Ab Tak channel, and senior journalist welcomed continuation of Iran-5+1 nuclear talks adding that issues can only be resolved through dialogue as war will not solve any problem. He was of the opinion that talks would help both parties understand each others point of view in a better manner. The analyst said that Iran’s nuclear program is peaceful and the country must be allowed to continue its nuclear activities. He added that if Iran’s nuclear issue is resolved it would also serve the interest of European states. He said that the anti-Iran sanctions must be lifted to make the nuclear talks successful. “There must be some trust building measures in the talks with Iran,” said the analyst. He strongly believed that western states must quit the policy of double standards against Iran as the country has always cooperated with the international organizations regarding its nuclear program. Jamil was of the opinion that every effort to isolate Iran would fail. “Iran is the only influential state in the Islamic world,” he viewed. He reiterated that the Zionist regime does not want West to accept Iran’s nuclear program, rather it wants to maintain its hegemony in the Middle East. The journalist said that Iran is the only Muslim country that has always challenged the Zionist regime’s aggressive policies. He urged the international community to develop strong relations with the Islamic Republic by accepting its peaceful nuclear right. “Iran is a role model for other countries especially Muslim states”, he noted./end
