Western Govts Aim To Stop Islamic Revolution Model In Region

Tehran, Dec 17, IRNA - Deputy Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Brigadier General Hossein Salami said Sunday that the Western governments are aiming to stop model of Islamic Revolution in the region. He made the remarks in his statement to Forum on Reviewing the Strategic Role of Universities and Religious Schools on the Geometry of World Power" in Tehran. Pointing to Islamic awakening movements in the region, Salami said history has shown that great powers in the world have initiated system of values and that the western governments are working hard to stop the values of the Islamic Revolution emerge. He said that all the profound developments in the international community normally enjoy a pioneer ideology and that the more an emerging power is backed with a powerful ideology, the longer it lasts. Salami said that all the hegemonic powers are doomed to fail except for those enjoying support of strong ideological values. "Normally when a power is on the verge of collapse, it resorts to impose wars on other nations just to pretend supremacy, but, such strategy usually fails soon," Salami said. He said that the capitalist system of governance is on the verge of an immediate collapse, therefore, it is afraid of any revolution take place in the world like Islamic revolution of Iran which challenged the western values three decades ago./end
