William Hague: Talks with Iran promising

Geneva, Nov 24, IRNA - Britain's Foreign Secretary William Hague said on Saturday that grounds are prepared for clinching a deal with Iran on many matters and the two sides are now exploring solutions to the remaining issues. Speaking to reporters at Intercontinental Hotel in Geneva, he said talks are underway to resolve the remaining issues; however the two sides have mutual understanding on many issues. The British foreign secretary said his presence in Geneva did not mean that the issue has been finalized, adding that the foreign ministers of G5+1 have gathered in Geneva because issues are very complicated. There are minor differences which are however very significant. World powers support nuclear talks with Iran and the gaps between the two sides have been narrowed, he said. The foreign ministers of Iran and G5+1 are to meet in Geneva Saturday afternoon. The foreign ministers of US, Russia, France, Britain and Germany have arrived in Geneva. The Chinese foreign minister is to arrive in Geneva within coming hours./end
