World Experiencing A Critical Point In History: Commander

Tehran, Aug 3, IRNA – A senior Iranian commander said here on Sunday that the world is experiencing a critical point in the history of mankind. Addressing a local gathering, senior military adviser to the Supreme Leader Major General Yahya Rahim Safavi underscored that the pace of worldˈs developments has been accelerated in political, security, economic and technological arenas. Pointing to political events in certain Muslim countries including Afghanistan, Iraq, Egypt, Libya, Bahrain and Syria over the past 13 years, as well as the human tragedy and Israelˈs ongoing genocide in the occupied Palestine, he asked: ˈDonˈt you think the world powerful players, the Westˈs capitalist system and the global Zionism, backed by militarism and media imperialism, have a part in these big tragedies?ˈ The senior commander also stressed that some scientists and political theoreticians believe that the current world is at a strategic milestone./end
