World People on DPRK's Victory in Korean War

Pyongyang, July 27 (KCNA) -- The Korean War in the 1950s drew deep attention of the world people. The U.S. imperialists vaunted their victory, provoking the war, but the course of the war convinced the world that the DPRK people would win the war. Visiting the DPRK as a member of an investigation group of the International Association of Democratic Lawyers during the war, Marie-Louise Moerens, a Belgian woman lawyer, said that the Korean people were waging a victorious war and the U.S. would surely suffer a defeat from them. A foreign correspondent, active in the DPRK during the war, called at the Supreme Command of the Korean People's Army to know about the prospect of the war over the large-scale "new offensive" to be launched by the U.S. imperialist aggressors. At that time, Supreme Commander Kim Il Sung was guiding a soldier in his studies. The soldier was to leave for a foreign country in order to learn about architectural technologies for post-war reconstruction. Witnessing this scene, the correspondent said that his article to be written would be titled "Victory of Korea in confrontation of faith--Comrade Kim Il Sung visualizes a plan for postwar reconstruction." At a meeting of world architects in Warsaw in Juche 41 (1952), a Brazilian architect said, expressing admiration at the master plan for postwar reconstruction presented by architects from the DPRK: History doesn't know other people more heroic and optimistic than the Korean people. Everyone will come to believe that you, the DPRK people guided by the great leader who instills indomitable will and faith, are sure to win in the war and beautiful cities and villages will be built in your country. Today the army and people of the DPRK under the guidance of supreme leader Kim Jong Un have all turned out in the final showdown with the U.S. imperialists, with firm faith that they will always emerge victorious as they are led by the great leader. -0-
