World Public Opinion Waiting For Political Solution In Syria: Envoy

Beirut, Sept 8, IRNA – Iran’s Ambassador to Lebanon Ghazanfar Roknabadi said world public opinion is waiting more than ever for a political solution in Syria. In a meeting with media persons in the venue of Iran’s embassy here, the envoy expounded on the latest developments in the region and Lebanon under recent US and the Zionist regime warmongering against Syria. He criticized certain countries, which by their financial and military support for armed terrorist groups, wage war against resistance. Referring to Iran’s stance of supporting resistance, the ambassador said that foreign military intervention against Syria will have unpredictable consequences in the region. He continued that a military move against Syria will not lead to a political solution, but will increase insecurity and instability in the region./end
