WPK Delegation Meets Raul Castro Ruz

Pyongyang, May 26 (KCNA) -- A delegation of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) led by Kim Yong Chol, member of the Political Bureau and vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the WPK, on a visit to Cuba met and had a talk with Raul Castro Ruz, first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (CPC), president of the Council of State and president of the Council of Ministers of Cuba, at the building of the Central Committee of the CPC on Tuesday. Kim Yong Chol conveyed greetings and personal letter sent by supreme leader Kim Jong Un to Raul Castro Ruz. He also conveyed a gift sent by Kim Jong Un to Raul Castro Ruz. He asked Raul Castro Ruz to convey warm regards and comradely greetings sent by Kim Jong Un to Fidel Castro Ruz. He congratulated Raul Castro Ruz on his reelection as first secretary of the C.C., the CPC and its successful 7th Congress. He noted with appreciation that the party and government of Cuba laid down a line suited to the actual conditions of the country while consistently adhering to the socialist principles and are achieving big successes in building socialism. Expressing thanks to Cuba for sending full support and encouragement to the WPK and the Korean people, remaining true to the revolutionary sense of obligation, he expressed the invariable stand of the WPK to develop the comradely and fraternal relations with the CPC true to the behests of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il. Raul Castro Ruz sincerely congratulated the WPK on its successful 7th Congress. Saying that he wholeheartedly respects Kim Jong Un and wishes to meet him without fail in future, he added that Kim Jong Un is identical to Kim Il Sung, the founder of the WPK, and his writing style clearly proves that he is full of wisdom and enthusiasm. The relations between the two countries are the comradely and fraternal ones proved by history, he said, adding that it is the firm stand of the party and government of Cuba to further develop the friendly and cooperative relations with the DPRK. -0-
