Yemeni officials arrive in Tehran

TEHRAN, Mar. 02 (MNA) – A delegation of Yemeni government officials arrived in Tehran yesterday evening. The delegation includes 15 officials of Yemeni government, mostly in deputy levels, who will have a 4-day visit to Tehran. Yemeni officials are scheduled to meet with Iranian officials to discuss bilateral ties, Yemen’s developments and problems as well as regional issues. The visit takes place while Iran’s Red Crescent has recently sent medical and clinical aid to Yemen via an exclusive flight. It was the first Iranian airplane in decades landing in Sana'a airport. Moreover, Iran and Yemen signed an MoU on aerial transportation Saturday, 28 February 2015, by which direct flights are going to be established between Tehran and Sana'a. Yemen, after public unrests and the revolution of 2011 that led to ousting President Ali Abdullah Saleh from power, is in a process of political transition and faces different issues.
