Youth and Students Start Study Tour of Revolutionary Battle Sites

Pyongyang, June 11 (KCNA) -- Youth and students from across the country started the study tour of revolutionary battle sites in the area of Mt Paektu with due ceremony, 62 years since leader Kim Jong Il pioneered the first study tour to the revolutionary battle sites in Mt Paektu area. The ceremony took place in front of the statues of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il in Hyesan City, Ryanggang Province on Sunday. Officials concerned, youth league officials and study tour makers were present there. They laid a floral basket before the statues of the great leaders and paid homage to them. A report and speeches were made there. At the end of the ceremony, the members of the study tour group began their march towards Pochonbo amid the warm send-off by officials and working people in the city. -0-
