Zarif, Ashton Review Outcome Of Negotiations By Deputies

Vienna, July 9, IRNA – Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton, in a meeting on Tuesday, reviewed outcome of negotiations among their deputies in Vienna earlier in the day. Drafting the Comprehensive Agreement about the nuclear dispute proceeded on the 7th day of the 6th round of negotiations in Vienna as Iranian deputy foreign ministers Abbas Araqchi and Majid Takt-e Ravanchi and Helga Schmid and Stephan Klement for the EU met Tuesday morning. The meeting between Zarif and Ashton was held in presence of their deputies to brief them on what happened during the morning session. Zarif and Ashton who are in Vienna for nuclear talks since July 2, held bilateral talks almost after every meeting between their deputies to assess the outcome. The talks between the two sides are held under a positive and constructive atmosphere, said Ashtonˈs spokesman Michael Mann. However, he said the talks are tough and serious. This round of negotiations between Iran and the six world nations – known as the P5+1 – will continue until July 20, the target date the two sides have set for reaching the Comprehensive Agreement, the final accord under an interim deal last November./end
