Zarif To Brief Majlis Commission on National Security, Foreign Policy On Nuclear Talks

Tehran, Nov 16, IRNA – Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif will go to Majlis on Tuesday to brief the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission on outcome of nuclear talks held in Geneva. Zarif’s deputies will be present in the meeting to explain stages of the nuclear talks. Zarif held three days of marathon nuclear talks with foreign ministers of United States, UK, France, China and Russia plus Germany. They were close to strike a deal, but, French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius said that the western governments must make maximum use of Iranian preparedness to clinch a deal and demand more. France has violated a deal with Iran dating back to 1970s according to which the France-based company Eurodif had undertaken to enrich uranium for Iran to fuel Bushehr power plant then under construction by Siemens of Germany. Iranian former Pahlavi regime invested dlrs one billion to establish Eurodif in France and the company belongs to Iranian government. President Hassan Rouhani launched fierce diplomatic campaign against the western governments over arbitrary sanctions on Iran at the United Nations General Assembly last September. He said that the western governments have perpetrated violent action against Iran jeopardizing the international peace and security./end
