Zarif: Iranian parliament speaker to visit Prague mid-January

Prague, Nov 11, IRNA – Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said that the Iranian parliament Speaker Ali Larijani is scheduled to visit Prague by middle of January 2017. In a meeting with the Chairman of Czech Chamber of Deputies Jan Hamáček here on Friday, he said the visit will take place in line with efforts to further strengthen parliamentary ties between the two countries. He said the visit will start at the second part of January. During the meeting, he also expressed happiness over the growing ties between Tehran and prague in different levels of political, economic and parliamentary relations and noted that the presence of the large economic delegation which is accompanying him in his visit to Prague indicates the possibility of more cooperation in energy, tourism and industry sectors. The Czech official said he was happy to see that ties between the two countries were progressing in the right path. He also voiced the interest of Czech Republic’s private sector companies in working with Iranian companies and said setting up a direct link between Tehran and Prague was a necessity to promote tourism. 1378/IRNA
