Zarif: Majlis To Decide On Additional Protocol

Qom, Nov 30, IRNA – Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif said on Friday that any decision on the additional protocol rests with Majlis and it will decide on the issue in line with interests thus gained. In a press conference held on the sidelines of his meeting with Qom seminary dignitaries, Zarif told IRNA that Majlis reserves the right to accept or reject Iran’s joining the additional protocol and when coming to the point of decision making, Majlis will decide on the basis of the advantages the country won. He said, “We have nothing to hide and the world should know that we are not after production of nuclear arms because it is inhumane and non-Islamic as the Supreme Leader’s fatwa says production and use of nuclear arms is religiously forbidden.”/end
