Zarif Meets Indonesian Counterpart

Jakarta, March 6, IRNA - Iranˈs Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif here on Thursday reviewed issues of mutual interests with his Indonesian counterpart Marty Natalegawa. The latest regional and international developments as well as expansion of bilateral cooperation were among issues discussed by the two FMs. The two-day visit of Zarif to Indonesia takes place within the framework of quarterly meeting of the foreign ministers of the two countries. The Iranian foreign minister underlined the need for further ex pansion of all-out ties between the two nations. Natalegawa, for his part, voiced his satisfaction over the current visit of Zarif and called for bolstering bilateral ties. The nuclear deal reached between Iran and world powers was also among other issues reviewed in the meeting. In a meeting on the sidelines of the 68th annual session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York in September, the Iranian and Indonesian foreign ministers underlined the importance of bolstering bilateral ties between Tehran and Jakarta./end
