Zarif, Muslim Statesˈ FMs Discuss Gaza On Phone

Tehran, July 28, IRNA – Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif continued its consultations with foreign ministers and senior officials of different countries on the ongoing Gaza crisis. Zarif conferred with his Algerian, Jordanian, Pakistani, Moroccan and Sudanese counterparts on the Gaza crisis is separate phone conversations on Sunday. The Iranian foreign minister pointed to Gazaˈs deteriorating conditions, and said, ˈThe routes for sending humanitarian aid to this region must be opened.ˈ Zarif noted that supplying the needs of Gaza people to medicine and medical equipment as well as treatment of the wounded people due to the scale of the Zionist regimeˈs attacks on the Palestinians. The Iranian foreign minister also called for joint action by Muslim and non-aligned countries at international level to exert pressure on the occupying regime of Al-Quds to end brutal killing of the people of Gaza. Zarif said that the Muslim countriesˈ support for the demands of people of Gaza is determining and important, and said these supports should continue until reaching a stable ceasefire. According to this report, the foreign ministers of Algeria, Jordan, Pakistan, Morocco and Sudan in their phone conversations sympathized with the people of Gaza and called all Muslim countries to help resolve the Gaza crisis./end
