Zarif: Nuclear Deal, Syria Crisis Discussed With Ashton

Tehran, March 9, IRNA – Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said Iran-EU ties, nuclear deal with 5+1 and the critical situation in Syria were among the topics he discussed with the visiting EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton. He made the remarks in a joint press conference following a meeting with Ms Ashton Sunday morning. Zarif said he also focused on such topics as regional developments, future of Iran-EU contacts, anti-narcotics cooperation, security in Afghanistan and critical situation in Syria in his talks with the EU official.
