Zarif: Reaching Agreement In Agenda Of Geneva Talks

Rome, Nov 20, IRNA – Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said on Tuesday before departing Italy that reaching an agreement during the Wednesday Geneva nuclear talks is in the agenda of the Iranian team. Zarif who was talking with the press before departing Rome for Geneva added that reaching that agreement depends on the other side’s recognition of our nuclear rights and respecting them. Asked about the terrorist attack near the Iranian embassy in Beirut which led to getting killed and wounded of a large number of people, including the Iranian cultural attaché, Zarif sympathized with the bereaved families of the “martyrs of those explosion”. He also said that the terrorist acts have put at stake the security of the entire region and have roots in extremism. He condemned every kind of terrorist attack and stressed the necessity of collective cooperation aimed at encountering the terrorism phenomenon. Zarif also said that his talks with his Italian counterpart were good, adding that the Italian Foreign Minister Emma Bonino and Prime Minister Enrico Letta are scheduled to visit Iran in near future./end
